Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 01:56AM For these few days I have been working on this new pastel drawing: Vanitas 6. From Vanitas 1 through 5, they were all black and white graphite drawings, so I wanted to add some colors to my work this time. This is still work in progress, but it is moving much much faster than super detailed graphite drawings naturally. I am working on black Canson paper.
Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 01:42AM I did this small (9" x 9") graphite drawing last week. As a part of the upcoming Urban Scrawl weekend in Franklinton Arts District, I was asked if I was interested in contributing a small artwork to be exhibited during the event in the adjacent gallery space: OAL X Space. This piece was done based on a photograph I got from one of the earlier photo sessions with my model Lea. I had always wanted to use this image for my piece and this was the perfect chance to do so.

Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:53AM I started working on this piece last summer. It has been slow going, but now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The figure part is pretty much finished. It will take a few more days to do the background.
I am very satisfied with this body of graphite work, but I feel I need to switch the medium so that I can work a little faster for the next piece.
Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 01:17PM I have finished 1/3 of this drawing from the top. I am happy about the way this is going so far. We cancelled our trip to Hungary and Austria this Christmas, so I might be able to finish this a little earlier than I antiipated...
