Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 08:22PM I just received an email from DRAWING Magazine telling me that my piece "Vanitas 18" was one of the winners for Strokes of Genius 12 competition. This is my second winning following last year's with "Vanitas 11". I am honored to be included in a group of fantastic artists. The winning entries will be published in a book that's coming out late November this year. Can't wait to see the book in person!
Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 03:14PM My drawing "Vanitas 11" was featured in Drawing Magazine special issue "Strokes of Genius 11" competition as one of the winners (top right corner in this spread). This competition was juried by one of my art heroes Steven Assael and that makes this even more meaningful to me. I am truly honored to be included in this collection of fantastic artists. Seriously, this issues has some INCREDIBLE art works in it.
Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 09:19PM International Drawing Annual 13 published by Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center just came out and I received my copies in the mail. 2 of my drawings are featured and I was awarded 1st place. I am extremely honored and humbled. This is the 3rd time my work was included in this INDA publication since 2017 and the next year 2020's edition will also include my work. I am happy that I have been blessed and well-received by this very prestigious and highly respected organization Manifest.
Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 02:57AM My drawing Vanitas 11 got accepted into the next edition of Strokes of Genius publication (number 11) as one of the winners. It is going to hit the book stores around the end of this year. This is a beautifully designed annual publication by North Light Books (the publisher of the Artists Magazine) that is dedicated to the art of drawing. This volume's subtitle is "Finding beauty". The juror was one of the artists I admire Steven Assael and I am in a good company of many artists I highly respect in this book. I am extremely honored.
Friday, January 4, 2019 at 03:57AM I saw one of the test cover designs of MANIFEST Creative Research and Drawing Center's publication International Drawing Annual 13 that is slated to come out at the end of this year. And my drawing "Bronzini" is one of the potential designs. I hope my piece gets picked up as the final. It would be truly an honor. I will keep my fingers crossed.
